A children's counting book using quilts has been a dream of mine since my daughter was a baby and we counted the six Scottie dogs on her baby quilt or the nine Indians on her other baby quilt! It's taken me a few years (my daughter is 25!) with a lot of improved quilting skills to finally get there. I hope you like it.

The patterns came to be when I showed the counting book to quilters at my local quilt store and they all said, "But where are the patterns?" I love the idea of giving the favorite children in your life a book and a quilt to match.

I've lived in New Orleans (3 times) for many years and love all the tradition and uniqueness of the city. Circumstances have since moved me on to new locations but I am a frequent visitor!

I love to design picture quilts and I love bright colors. My next adventure is a counting book for the state of Maine. (think lobsters instead of crawfish, whoopie pies instead of beignets!)
